Shannon is our preferred Wedding Planner for the Sea Haven Estate. She and her team are familiar with our venue and guide our clients through the entire process from beginning to end. Shannon will help achieve your vision and handle all essential coordination, bringing your dream event to life and ensuring everything runs seamlessly.

 
Shannon provides a meeting consultation service to all clients of The Sea Haven Estate. This service is provided to couples who are booked with the Sea Haven Estate or are interested in the Sea Haven Estate. You will meet with Shannon either in person or over the phone, and she will provide all the necessary information and recommend the most-suited vendors and features based on your event goals.

Step-by-Step Process

1. Understand Our Entire Procedure
To determine if the Sea Haven Estate is the right fit for your occasion, please thoroughly read all the information on this page.  As a rental-only estate, we aim to provide you with the perfect backdrop for your wedding while giving you the freedom to choose your vendors and staff. Our team provides a list of preferred vendors and professionals who are familiar with our venue and can accommodate your needs. Please see our official list of preferred vendors below.

2. Check Availability & Pricing
To check if your preferred event date/s are available, please contact our Reservations Department at  910.332.7284 or 
/our-process  — they will also provide you with pricing details tailored to your dates.

3. Establish Planning
Determine if you will work with a Wedding & Event Planner and/or a Day/Month Of Coordinator. If so, please include them in all further communication with our team. If not, please ensure the primary contact or host for the event is included in all further communication. 4. Finalize the Details

7. Select Your Vendors & Professionals
As you plan your big day, please select vendors and staff who abide by the Sea Haven Estate's Rules & Regulations and Vendor Agreement and who understand our rental-only process. Our team provides a list of
preferred vendors  and professionals (below) who are familiar with our venue and can accommodate your needs. Please advise all your vendors, professionals, and staff that they must carefully read and review the Vendor Agreement, then sign and return a copy to our Reservations Department at  /our-process . The Vendor Agreement will be provided once your event is officially booked.

NC Marriage Licenses
North Carolina law requires couples to obtain a marriage license prior to the wedding ceremony. Be sure to bring each person a driver’s license and Social Security cards, plus $60 in cash. No physical is required,   and there is no waiting period; the license is good immediately and is valid for 60 days. Soon-to-be brides and grooms ages 21 and above may apply for a marriage license online to save time in the Register of Deeds office, but they must come into the Register of Deeds office within three days with licenses, Social Security cards, and cash.
 
  • NC Marriage Licenses in Onslow County : Licenses are available at the Onslow County Register of Deeds office at 109 Old Bridge St. in Jacksonville, NC. Appointments may be made by calling 910-347-3451
  • NC Marriage Licenses in Pender County : Licenses are available at the Pender County Register of Deeds office at 300 E. Fremont Street in Burgaw, NC. Contact them at 910-259-1225 for more information.

 

FAQ & Special Details

What event types can be hosted at the Sea Haven Estate?
Weddings, rehearsal dinners, vacations, family reunions, anniversaries, corporate events, holidays, birthdays, engagements, and all special occasions are possible uses for the Sea Haven Estate! Our reserved guests can use the estate for any event type as long as everyone on the premises follows our official Rules and Regulations and all vendors abide by our Vendor Agreement.

Does the Sea Haven Estate have an event staff?
No, the Sea Haven Estate is a rental-only venue and does NOT provide any event staff. The client is responsible for providing their own wedding/event staff and vendors. Our preferred wedding & event planners will coordinate any additional event staff for you. Our team provides a list of preferred wedding & event planners who are familiar with our venue and can accommodate your needs. Please see our official list of preferred vendors below (fourth section of this page).

Does the venue offer wedding planning services?
No, the Sea Haven Estate does not offer included wedding planning services, but full wedding planning services can be arranged through our preferred planners, who are familiar with our venue and can coordinate your entire event. Please see our official list of preferred vendors below (fourth section of this page).

Does the Sea Haven Estate provide food and beverage?
No, the Sea Haven Estate does not provide food or beverages, nor do we have an in-house chef, waitstaff, or commercial kitchen. However, our catering recommendations are included on our preferred vendor's list. These recommendations are familiar to our venue and will accommodate your food, beverage, and waitstaff needs. Please see our official list of preferred vendors below (fourth section of this page).

Does the Sea Haven Estate provide alcoholic beverages and/or bartenders?
No, the Sea Haven Estate does not provide any alcoholic beverages and does not have a bar staff and/or pour staff - but we provide recommendations for many bartending or pour services that are familiar to our venue. Our venue has a custom-built bar specifically for each event's bar/pour staff to use. The bar can be moved to different locations in the venue, depending on where you prefer. You can see photos of our custom-built bar on  Our Gallery  page. Please see our official list of preferred vendors below (fourth section of this page) to view our bar services recommendations. All vendors and guests handling and/or consuming alcoholic beverages must abide by our alcohol regimes in our official Rules and Regulations.

How can the Sea Haven Estate space be used? Where does the ceremony, reception, dining, dancing, etc. occur?
The space can be used however you prefer as long as your event layout, decor, installments, and vendors abide by our official Rules and Regulations. Our preferred wedding & event planners will suggest and coordinate the best arrangement for your event based on your specific components. Can there be a rehearsal at the Sea Haven Estate the day before the wedding?
(Can we have the ceremony rehearsal in the venue space the day before the wedding? Can we have our rehearsal dinner at the venue? What about a morning-after breakfast/mimosa brunch, etc.?)
Yes, as long as you have the Sea Haven Estate reserved for all the dates and times of your planned itinerary. The client and/or event planner must coordinate all accommodations for additional gatherings at the Sea Haven Etate, and all clients and vendors must abide by our Rules & Regulations, Vendor Agreement and fully understand our rental-only process. "Morning-after events" must occur the day before your checkout date since checkout is promptly by 10:00 am. Clients will incur an additional $500 per hour late checkout fee if not checked out of the property by 10:00 am.

What amenities and indoor/outdoor spaces does the Sea Haven Estate offer?
The Sea Haven Estate offers beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces with panoramic water views, a pavilion for wedding ceremonies, a large rear fenced yard, several outdoor areas for cocktail hours and receptions, a private outdoor pool, a private hot tub, an interior elevator to all levels, several front and rear porches, 12 bedrooms in the Sea Haven and over 20 bedrooms onsite, seating for over 100 guests, up to 50 on-site parking spaces, a fully stocked kitchen, paper goods, beach towels, and all bedding and bath linens.

Is there a backup plan for inclement weather?
Many inclement weather plans are possible, but all backup plans for inclement weather are the responsibility of the client/s and/or event planner and must abide by the Sea Haven Estate Rules and Regulations and Vendor Agreement.
 
What is the Sea Haven Estate's capacity?
The Sea Haven Estate's on-site accommodations include seating for more than 100 guests, up to 50 parking spaces, and over 20 bedrooms for on-site guest accommodations. See below for the additional guest accommodations.

Are there additional guest accommodations nearby?
Yes, many beach home rentals are conveniently located just minutes from the Sea Haven Estate! These additional beach home accommodations can be found below under the "Accommodations" section of this page and are reserved through our  Booking Department . Several hotels nearby can also host your guests who do not wish to stay at a beach home property. A public lot is located just south of the Sea Haven Estate for additional parking.

Can the wedding be on the beach?
(Can the ceremony, rehearsal, or any event be physically on the beach/off the Sea Haven Estate premise?)
Yes! Your wedding can be on the beach, right in front of the ocean! A permit is not required to have a wedding or event on the public beach at North Topsail. If you do have a wedding or event on the beach, the Town of North Topsail Beach asks that you leave the beach in the condition that you found it. Our preferred wedding & event planners will advise and plan the most suitable beach location, accommodate the other vendors, and coordinate the logistics for your ideal ocean-front event!

Are pets allowed at the Sea Haven Estate?
Yes, the Sea Haven Estate is a pet-friendly property, and dogs are permitted on the beach, provided they are on a leash no longer than 20 feet. You must clean up after your pet; complimentary bags are provided at beach accesses. **PLEASE SEE and abide by the detailed pet regulations listed on our  Booking Page .


Rules & Regulations

(Condensed Version)​ Our extended “Rules & Regulations” can be found in the official contract agreement and must be thoroughly reviewed and signed to complete the reservation. The following is the condensed list of rules and regulations to be upheld by all clients, vendors, event planners, and anyone who is involved in the planning and execution of a wedding or event on the premises of the Sea Haven Estate.

GENERAL EVENT RULES
  • All wedding receptions/events must end by 10:00 pm to comply with the City sound ordinances and in order to allow for clean-up and closure of the site by 11:00 pm
  • No parking allowed on the grass, mulch, or along the street.
  • No glass by the pool or on the beach.
  • Only clients residing at the property are allowed to use the pool and hot tub.
  • Guests may only park in the designated parking spots at the Venue. For overflow parking, Venue recommends either parking in one of the two public beach access lots down the street and/or carpooling.
DECORATIONS & EVENT LAYOUT
  • Placements of tables, tents, live music, catering equipment, etc. must be approved by Venue management.
  • No fire or candles with flames are allowed on the premises.
  • No rice, glitter, or confetti is allowed on the premises. For wedding and/or reception farewells, we recommend using bubbles, sparklers, or birdseed instead of any of the previously mentioned prohibited items.
  • ALL furniture must be returned to its original location, and ALL rented items must be broken down. Failure to do so may result in additional charges for breakdown/moving.
  • All decorations must be removed without leaving damage. No tape, wire, screws, nails, or anything that would cause damage to walls and/or fixtures.
ALCOHOL
  • Alcohol may not UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE be served to minors.
  • No illegal substances of any kind. NO EXCEPTIONS.
